First and foremost, Ravinstyle.com is about a love for fashion. We're supporters of the freshest ideas and visions in fashion, and we're delighted to share them with you. The term 'emerging designer' has now become a common part of the fashion lexicon, but when Ravinstyle was born in 2000, it was an unexplored territory that we were excited to discover and bring to the web. New York City is often called the fashion capital of the world- and we're lucky enough to live (and shop) here. Jill Licata, the founder of Ravinstyle, realized just how lucky she was to have access to some of the most beautiful, well-edited boutiques in the country at her fingertips in the chic Tribeca neighborhood where she lived. And, truth be told, neighboring Soho and NoLita weren't too shabby, either. How great would it be to corral all of this exciting new talent that the locals loved, and put it on the web so fashionistas in Wisconsin, Miami, and San Francisco could have access to it, too? She set about building Ravinstyle, starting with about 5 local designers; the site has now grown to showcase over 60 budding labels from across the globe, each with their own distinct style story to tell. You'll also find exclusive styled 'looks' to browse through- take the Style Quiz to determine your signature style, and you can then shop through looks we've created from the beautiful collections we offer with your personal tastes in mind. Our Life.Styled. feature brings this to you even further by offering you fashion notes from real-life tastemakers who have incredible signature style. The beauty of the web is that it is limitless, and we strive to push those limits- not only are we a store where you can find the best of what's new, we're also a sounding board for what's on the forefront of fashion.
